Prof.Dr. Ahmet Doğanay
Prof. Doğanay completed his undergraduate education in Ankara University, Faculty of Educational Sciences, Department of Curriculum and Instruction in 1983. He obtained his first master’s degree from the same department of Social Sciences Institute of Ankara University in 1986. With the Law numbered 1416, he was sent to United States of America and obtained his second master’s degree from Long Island University, Department of Curriculum and Instruction in Primary Education. He completed his PhD at Pittsburgh University, in the field of social studies education in 1993.
Prof. Dr. Todd Alan Price
He worked as an elementary school teacher for one year in 1978. His academic life began in 1984 in Çukurova University, Faculty of Education. He started to work in the same faculty after returning from abroad and has still been working there.
He worked in several administrative positions in his academic life including head of department, vice-dean, college principal, senate member and interuniversity board member. He is still the deputy dean of Çukurova University, Faculty of Education.
Prof. Doğanay took part in various national and international projects as expert and consultant; such as Pre-service Teacher Education Project of Council of Higher Education and The World Bank, European Commission’s Democracy and Human Rights Project, Europe Values Education Project, and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Developing Curriculum in Primary Education Project. He has several publications in the areas of social studies education, thinking education and curriculum development and is a field editor in two journals indexed in SSCI, and editor-in-chief of an international journal.
Dr. Price is National College of Educational Foundations and Inquiry Program Chair and Director of Policy Studies for Education, National Louis University. He got his master and PhD degrees from University of Wisconsin on Curriculum and Instruction. He has authored and co-authored several books, chapters, and articles on the front curriculum theory, educational policy, service learning & civic engagement, and technology in education.
Dr. Price was awarded the plaque of appreciation for keynote presentation Teachers Teaching Under the Lens, at Çukurova University in Adana, Turkey, 2015. In 2017, he was invited to serve as the American Association for the Advancement of Curriculum Studies annual conference program chair. He is currently a member of the Committee on Government Relations and Advocacy of the American Association for Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE).
